Tarpen is a city that grew around an old fortress that stands on an ancient battlefield. The city is located along the Tortone river at the foot of the Karkerus Mountains and is known for its fine horses that are bred there. Tarpen is ruled by Countess Eshywar and Count Daeric who have won great fame in the Dragonbone Wars. Tarpon rules over a number of smaller villages in the region and over the town of Tartan Falls to the north. The city is a founding member of the Norrian Alliance, an alliance with other cities in the region.
