The ancient city of Nexor is said to be the world’s oldest city. It was built on a mesa high above the Plains of Nexor which is cut in two by the river Tortone. Mighty stone walls protect the city and a wide bridge connects the two city halves.
Nexor is a major trade hub which is located on the old imperial high road running east and west and the river Tortone which connects the city to the north and to the south. As an independent city Nexor is ruled by the Council of Seven who are said to be the keepers of Nexor’s secrets. Some travelers describe the city as a random collection of buildings stacked on top of each other. Streets are narrow and a lot of secrets can be discovered in the old structures beneath the present day city.
Nexor hold many wonders, among them the Belmonor Elevators, a construction of giant chains that pulls entire wagons up from the Plains of Nexor to the West Gate. The elevators are running with the help of tamed belmonors, giant cave-dwelling beasts that are held under the city.
