The city of Lorsyne grew around an island fortress in the middle of a lake and is the oldest city in the Kingdom of Vellairn. It is also the capital of the Province of Daelesse. The fortress has evolved into an elegant palace that is connected to the rest of the city with two white stone bridges. The lake is known for its clear water and the turtles that live in it. Lorsynian smiths count among the best smiths anywhere but there are a lot of other craftsmen who work in the many workshops all over the city. The craftsmen are organized in guilds and some of the old guilds have a lot of influence in the city.
