Knights of the Obsidian Gryphon
This order of knights consists mainly of elves. The founder of the order was Grandmaster Caeryn, an elven hero who stopped the invasion of a demon horde during the Demon Wars and set up the knight order for protecting the elven domain of Liorne. The knights developed into elite fighters who often complemented their fighting skills with magic.
The symbol of the knights is a black gryphon. During the knighting ceremony every knight is presented with a silver cloak clasp that shows an obsidian gryphon in the center.
The knights have great influence in Liorne and are always honored guests at the elven court. However, their main stronghold lies at the edge of the elven domain where they watch over the remnants of the demons that were defeated centuries ago.
